DONGKIZ will be returning with a brand new name as a 6-member group.

On March 18th, Dongyo Entertainment revealed a new name for the idol group: DKZ. Wondae will be leaving the act, and 3 new members will be filling in his vacancy.

The label shared, “Wondae took a hiatus after suffering an injury and had a thorough conversation with us about his future plans. However, his doctor believes that he should receive regular treatments in the future. Therefore, he ultimately decided to leave the team.” Munik, who has been sitting out of their promotional activities, will not return to the group as he is still under medical care for his condition.

As for the group as a whole, DONGKIZ will officially make their April comeback as DKZ. Kyoungyoon, Jaechan, and Jonghyeong will be welcoming the three new members to their band.

Lately, DONGKIZ enjoyed a sudden boost in their popularity as Jaechan‘s Semantic Error became a big hit on an OTT platform.
