(G)I-DLE is returning with their first full album, I NEVER DIE.
On the 14th, (G)I-DLE held an online showcase to mark the release I NEVER DIE. The act is making their comeback after a year and two months. Soyeon shared, “It’s our comeback after our hiatus, so we prepared this album thinking that we’re making our debut again. I wrote the songs imagining what the five of us, who have improved a lot, should show.”
I NEVER DIE is an album that contains not only what was given to (G)I-DLE but also their feelings and thoughts about all prejudices in the world. Soyeon introduced, “It’s an album that contains our feelings and thoughts against all the prejudices of the world. It shows our will to prove our own worth confidently without backing down.”
This new smash includes nine tracks, including the title song “TOMBOY.” With the straightforward lyrics, the song delivers the message of “no standards can define me because I’m myself.” It’ll highlight the girls’ unique, confident attitude. “We focused a lot on how we look for this album. We wanted to show the different aspects of five girls,” Soyeon said.
During the break, the members focused on their solo activities or spent time with their families. “Even if we were apart, we’ve been cheering for each other,” said Minnie. But the girls didn’t mention Soojin, who left the group a couple of months ago.
Meanwhile, (G)I-DLE’s new album I NEVER DIE will be released at 6 PM KST today.
