The Squid Game star made her first major Hollywood red carpet outing at this year’s SAG Awards in a dazzling custom gown by Louis Vuitton.
Jung Ho Yeon sparkled at her SAG Awards debut, wearing a button-front black gown covered in silver beads and crystals, which reportedly took the finest French designers 210 hours to finish. She is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series and Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series for her work on Netflix’s record-breaking hit, Squid Game.
Not only that, she showed that she knows how to combine classic Hollywood glamour with a meaningful nod to her Korean heritage with her very special hair accessory. The actress wore her dark hair in a long braid that was decorated with a scarf from the same material as her gown to make it look like a Daeng gi, a traditional Korean hair ribbon.

Celebrity hairstylist Jenny Cho, who created the look, explained that what she wore for the SAG Awards event is inspired by a South Korean hair tie and attire called Daeng gi and Han Bok and that it was a sincere honor to present her work.
Meanwhile, the star has won her first major award season prize as the SAG Awards’ 2022 Best Female Actor in a Drama Series for her role in Netflix’s biggest phenomenon, Squid Game.
