IU’s Label Apologizes for Selling Defective Merchandise and Announces Legal Action Against Malicious Commenters

IU‘s label EDAM Entertainment apologized for the recent issues with the artist’s merchandise.

On January 12th, EDAM Entertainment released a statement on its official social media account. They said, “We apologize for causing concerns among fans due to the numerous issues that have recently occurred. With the error in ‘2022 IU Season’s Greetings’ merchandise, we have caused the fans inconvenience.”

The label explained that they would be taking appropriate follow-up measures to ensure that this would never happen again. They added, “Most of all, we feel responsible for causing disappointment to fans who have been waiting for our MD products for a long time.”

The agency also apologized for the late shipping and defects in their ‘Strawberry Moon Necklace’ products. Furthermore, they announced that they are currently planning to take legal action against malicious posts regarding their artist, based on the reports made by her fans. They said, “we are currently reviewing many reports, so it might take us some time. We plan to provide fans with a more detailed statement soon.”

The label closed off their statement by saying, “We will no longer stand by and watch the artist and fans be harmed, and we will continue the efforts to stamp out malicious comments. We will use the criticism as a stepping stone and make sure something like this never happens again.”
