Rain Says ‘Ghost Doctor’ Is a Medical Drama for All Families with Actors’ Perfect Chemistry

Ghost Doctor is a fantasy medical drama about two doctors, an arrogant genius doctor and a silver-spooned resident, ending up sharing one body. Today, the series held its press conference, which the cast and the director attended. Director Boo Sung Chul shared, “If Rain is the engine of our drama, then Kim Bum is the headlight. Not only the two of them, but all the actors are showing great chemistry. As a director, I tried to be careful in bringing out the medical details.”

Rain introduced Ghost Doctor as a medical drama to be enjoyed with a family. “When General Hospital aired, we didn’t sleep to watch that. I hope that Ghost Doctor becomes a drama like that,” he said. “There are ghosts in the drama, but they are not scary. I’m just impressed with the fact that we created a whole new picture.”

Kim Bum explained, “It’s a cartoon-like story, so I’m sure the viewers will enjoy the series. I’ve tried showing even more sitcom-like acting than what I showed in Unstoppable High Kick and cartoon-like expressions and gestures.”

Rain gave 100 points to his chemistry with the actors. He commented, “It goes without saying that my teamwork with Kim Bum is amazing. The first filming was with Naeun, and I remember getting so impressed by how good she was. Uee is so good at memorizing lines.”

Meanwhile, Ghost Doctor will premiere today at 10:30 PM KST.
