The boys of global sensation BTS have opened their personal Instagram accounts eight years after their debut. And in just one day, all seven boys have garnered more than 15 million followers.
BTS members have started using Instagram. They posted photos of the concert waiting room, the concert hall, the sea, and the filming set and started communicating in earnest with the fans.
And as expected, the news was followed by explosive reactions. As of 9 AM KST today, all seven members have garnered 15 million followers: V (1.67 million), Jungkook (1.6 million), Jimin (1.56 million), Jin (1.53 million), Suga (1.51 million), and RM and J-Hope (1.5 million).
Among them, V’s account made new records. The artist broke Jennifer Aniston’s record (8.6 million in 24 hours) as he became the fastest person to reach 10 million followers in just 4 hours and 40 minutes. He also broke Billie Eilish’s record as his post became “The fastest celebrity to reach 1m likes” in just 4 minutes.
Members’ IDs also drew attention. RM chose the name of his studio, “rkive”. Jin successfully landed with “jin,” while Suga chose his another stage name, “augustd”. J-Hope chose ‘uarmyhope” (U are my hope), showing his love for ARMY.
Jimin’s ID is “j.m.” and V’s ID is “thv,” combining initials of his real name Taehyung with V. Lastly, Jungkook chose a rather interesting ID, “abcdefghi__lmnopqrstuvwxyz,” all the letters except for his initial j and k.
Meanwhile, BTS will be taking time off for their second extended vacation. The act had wrapped up this year’s promotion with the “Jingle Ball” concert. Jin, Jimin, and Jungkook have returned home on the 6th. RM, Suga, J-Hope, and V are still staying in the States, carrying out their personal schedules.
