Korean media outlet Joy News 24 held an online poll from October 12th to October 19th to commemorate its 17th anniversary. The survey had 200 respondents from the entertainment business, including personnel from entertainment and broadcasting companies, film and broadcast content makers, and entertainment reporters.
According to the survey results, the best K-drama couple of 2021 went to Kim Seon Ho and Shin Min A from Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha. More than half of the respondents chose the couple, casting a total of 103 votes. In the drama, the two showed great chemistry with their cute bickering romance. Throughout the show’s run, the two received much love from the public for their sweet on-screen moments and even for their matching dimples.
Song Joong Ki and Jeon Yeo Bin from Vincenzo became the second-best K-drama couple of the year with 20 votes. Under the motto of punishing evil with evil, the drama shows an exciting story of an anti-hero plotting gruesome revenge on those who wronged him. Towards the end of the show, the romance between Joong Ki and Yeo Bin got deeper, and the show went out on a great note showing their impeccable teamwork.
The third and fourth-best went to two couples from Hospital Playlist 2. Jo Jung Suk and Jeon Mi Do landed at No.3 with 18 votes, and Kim Dae Myung and Ahn Eun Jin at No. 4 with 14 votes.
