‘Yumi’s Cells’ star Kim Go Eun showed off her beauty.
Dazed Korea unveiled the cover story of Kim Go Eun and CHANEL’s Cruise 2021/22 Collection.
Even without the short bang, Kim Go Eun was Yumi. Her latest drama, season one of Yumi’s Cells, opened a new era for TV series by combining it with 3D animation. Regarding the work, Kim shared, “We had no information about how the animation will be combined. We just occasionally listen to the recordings of the voice actors.” She added, “When we were trying to set the tone or match our acting to the animation, we were like a blank canvas. So I was worried because viewers shouldn’t have a sense of displacement.”
Kim also talked about her co-star Ahn Bo Hyun. “Everyone acknowledged that Bo Hyun and Woong have the same personalities. That’s how much he had disappeared into the role and portrayed the character so well,” she said, showing her trust in the actor. “Thanks to that, I got to play Yumi more densely. In fact, I got along with him because we have similar tastes and personalities.”
Then which cell is dominating actress Kim Go Eun’s head? “I think ‘love cell’ for me, too. Why is love called love? I was always curious about that,” she responded. “At least to me, love is the biggest, widest and deepest emotion that a human can feel.”
Meanwhile, Kim talked about “not being so unique” as an actress. “More than anyone else, I need to sympathize and understand the roles to express them. And people need to empathize with me. That’s the virtuous circle,” she shared. “And that’s difficult if I, as an actress, are too unique. I think I want to become an ‘unusual’ actress who does not limit herself and accepts a wide range of things, no matter what roles or stories I encounter.”
