BTS was the biggest winner at the 2021 MTV European Music Awards (MTV EMAs).
This K-pop sensation won the most awards, including Best Pop, Best Group, Best K-Pop, and Biggest Fans. The act won all four awards they were nominated for, taking home the most trophies of any artist this year.
This is the first year that BTS was awarded the Best Pop trophy. As for the Biggest Fans award, this is already their fourth one. In all, BTS was the biggest winner of the event that took place in Budapest.
In the meantime, aespa also snagged Best Korean Act, for which CRAVITY, STAYC, Weeekly, and WEi were also nominated.
Meanwhile, BTS also won three nominations – Artist of the Year, Favorite Pop Duo or Group, and Favorite Pop Song (“Butter”) – for the 2021 AMA to be held on the 21st.
