[Weekly TV Top 10] Will ‘The King’s Affection’ Beat Out ‘Jirisan’ to Land at the Top Spot?

The King's Affection

Drama Ranking for the 1st Week of November

Although tvN’s Jirisan managed to rank first, it’s consistently receiving responses that it has failed to live up to the expectations. Some are even making jokes that they are going to “descend the mountain.” More are showing satisfactory reactions compared to the beginning when only criticisms were poured out. Yet, the distracting product placement and directing that fails to make the best of the story are still pointed out as its weakness. KBS’s The King’s Affection rose up to second place as Lovers of the Red Sky ended. The improbable development, some actors’ bad acting, and hindering music are still receiving unfavorable reviews. However, the unique concept of “a woman disguised as a man” and Park Eun Bin and Rowoon’s chemistry are getting positive reviews. SBS’s One the Woman finished at No. 3, showcasing a thrilling ending of good punishing evil. Lee Ha Nee, Lee Sang Yoon, Jin Seo Yeon, and Lee Won Keun kept their promise to dress up as superheroes if the ratings surpassed 17%, drawing attention. tvN’s new series Happiness started off in fourth place. Especially, the show gained favor for its realistic portrayal of infectious diseases in the new normal era and the modern hierarchical society. SBS’s Let Me Be Your Knight debuted at No. 8.
