The new normal city thriller, starring Han Hyo Joo, Park Hyung Sik, and Jo Woo Jin, will finally take off its veil.

Happiness illustrates the survival of the characters isolated in a high-rise apartment, a miniature of a hierarchical society. Set against the building that has been locked down due to new infectious diseases, the show portrays fears, fierce survival, and thrilling mind games between the survivors. Ahead of the premiere on the 5th, the production crew revealed the attractive features of the work.

The Ongoing Horror

With the outbreak of the new infectious disease, everyone’s ordinary daily life collapses. This causes people to panic and fall into chaos. The reality of being suspicious and wary of each other in a situation where people’s beliefs ​​are shaken is expected to provide a unique pleasure of the genre along with “ongoing” horror.

Director Ahn Gil Ho shared, “The importance of daily life, indifference to others, imaginations about the fear and fatigue of viruses were the starting point of this project. For realistic empathy, I tried to show our everyday space. It’s a thriller, but I wanted to show the fun without being so profound.”

Writer Han Sang Woon said, “It is a story of ordinary people who are trying to adapt and survive in any way possible. I wanted to present the dilemma of humanity through a situation in which it is difficult to distinguish who is infected and how to deal with them (the infected).”

 

Han Hyo Joo, Park Hyung Sik, and Jo Woo Jin

Han Hyo Joo plays Yoon Sae Bom, the ace agent of the special police squad. She will be showing off her girl crush charm by boldly and resourcefully handling crises. Park Hyung Sik turns into detective Jung Yi Hyun. As a former baseball player, he’s not afraid of using his body and is also quite good at mind games. The two became friends for 13 years after experiencing an unforgettable incident in high school. One day, the two move in together per Sae Boom’s unexpected offer and fight to survive in a locked-down apartment.

Han Tae Seuk, played by Jo Woo Jin, is the person who holds the key to the new infectious disease. The three continue to cooperate in the chaos caused by the new infectious disease, all the while not lowering their vigilance towards each other.
