Hellbound is a story about a supernatural phenomenon where mysterious creatures suddenly appear on Earth and begin dragging people to hell. A cult sees this as an opportunity to take control while some try to uncover the secret behind the mysterious religious group.

The trailer begins as Park Jung Ja (Kim Shin Rok) is suddenly sentenced to hell by an angel when her children are celebrating her birthday. The sudden appearance of an angle left not only Park Jung Ja but also viewers engulfed in shock and horror. Soon, the chilling narration of Jung Jin Soo (Yoo Ah In), who preaches the will of God in the middle of chaos, doubles the tension.

Jung Jin Soo insists that supernatural phenomena are God’s warning to sinners and that fear will set people free from sin. However, the world plunges into more and more rampant chaos as the live broadcast of Park Jung Ja’s execution approaches. People’s doubt and hatred for each other bring another hell in this world. At the end of the video, Jung Jin Soo comments, “I’d like to welcome you all to the new world,” heralding an unpredictable story that will unfold in a chaotic world.

Hellbound is based on the popular webtoon of the same name. Train to Busan and Peninsula director Yeon Sang Ho, who sharply delved into the uncertainties and absurdities of modern society, helmed the entire production, from webtoon to co-writing the script and directing the series, solidifying his own worldview.

Meanwhile, the intense plot of Hellbound has captivated the actors as well.
“‘Hellbound’ succinctly described the hell of the present life.” (Yoo Ah In)
“It’s a work with a piercing connotation that sticks out even when you enjoy it.” (Park Jung Min)
“I felt the captivating power from the script. Those who make irreversible mistakes, those who keep their beliefs to the end, and those who sacrifice themselves. Because the situations, stories, and attitudes of the characters are so different, there will be various messages depending on the point of view.” (Won Jin Ah)

Hellbound will be released on November 19th.
