The new series Our Blues (literal title) finalized an A-list cast – Lee Byung Hun, Shin Min Ah, Kim Woo Bin, Han Ji Min, Cha Seung Won, Lee Jung Eun, and Uhm Jung Hwa.
Our Blues is a drama that conveys support for all those standing at the end, climax, and beginning of life. Set in Jeju, the sour, sweet, and bitter stories of the characters will unfold in an omnibus format. For the project, That Winter, The Wind Blows and It’s Okay, That’s Love team – screenwriter Noh Hee Kyung and director Kim Tae Gyu -joined hands once again.
First, Lee Byung Hun plays Lee Dong Seok. He was born and raised in Jeju and sells various items by using his truck as a store. Shin Min Ah will act alongside him as Min Sun Ah, a woman who came to the island with a secret.
The second couple is Lee Young Ok, played by Han Ji Min, and Park Jung Joon, played by Kim Woo Bin. Lee Young Ok is a rookie haenyeo (female diver harvesting sea life) who came from the mainland. Despite her bright personality, many rumors follow around her. Park Jung Joon is an innocent and warm-hearted captain of a boat. While looking for a woman who will not leave Jeju, he meets Lee Young Ok and falls in love.
Moreover, Cha Seung Won was cast as Choi Han Soo, who returns to his hometown Jeju after completely turning into a “city-loving man”. And after his return, he meets fish shop owner Jung Eun Hee, whose first love is Choi Han Soo. Jung Eun Hee will come to life with Lee Jung Eun‘s realistic acting.
Lastly, Uhm Jung Hwa turns into Go Mi Ran, who returns to Jeju after getting sick and tired of tough city life. She is Jung Eun Hee’s best friend.
Our Blues is scheduled to premiere in 2022.
