Netflix announced a series order for Somebody, the new drama that will be directed by Jung Ji Woo.

Somebody tells the story of a murder case surrounding a social connecting app named “Somebody.” The series will unravel the events involving app developer Sum, her friends, and a mysterious individual named Yun Oh.

Eungyo and Tune in for Love director Jung Ji Woo, who showed a wide range of human emotions and psychological warfare in his previous work, will helm the series. Writer Han Ji Wan of The Ghost Detective and Wanted will pen the script.

Kim Young Kwang will play an architectural designer, Yun Oh. He is a man who easily wins everyone’s favor without saying a word. However, after meeting the developer of the social connecting app, Somebody, he slowly shows his true self.

Promising rookie actress Kang Hae Rim will play Sum, the app developer of Somebody. Although she sometimes has a hard time around people, she is a genius who can create an artificial intelligence chatbot and a social connecting app.

Kim Soo Yeon, who joined the series through a fierce competition rate of 500 to 1, will take on the role of Ki Eun. She is Sum’s best friend and a cop who will be tracking down the mysterious incident in Somebody. Kim Yong Ji will play her friend, Mok Won, who will be supporting her investigation with unusual energy.

Based on exciting subjects in the current days, Somebody will tell a story filled with tight tension in every episode.
