The teaser for Jirisan, considered the most-anticipated TV series of this year, has been unveiled.
Jirisan, tvN’s 15th-anniversary special project, dropped a 33-second teaser today. The first thing that the video introduces is delightful Seo Yi Kang (Jun Ji Hyun), who says, “I hate mountains.”
Soon, the voice of rookie ranger Kang Hyun Jo (Ju Ji Hoon) appears. Saying, “Who are we? Aren’t we the thread and needle of Mount Jiri?” Kang heralds perfect chemistry with Seo.
Yet, the cheerful mood completely changes. As the subtitle that reads “Border between this world and the underworld” shows up on the screen, the two main characters take turns narrating the mystery that unfolds on the mountain. “We weren’t the only ones on the mountain that day. Someone is killing people on the mountain.”
Meanwhile, Jirisan is the new mystery drama by Kingdom writer Kim Eun Hee and Descendants of the Sun and Goblin director Lee Eung Bok. Set against the backdrop of towering views of Mount Jiri, it revolves around veteran ranger Seo Yi Gang and rookie ranger Kang Hyun Jo. Together, they will dig into the mystery surrounding the mountain’s many visitors.
Jirisan will premiere on October 23rd at 9 PM KST.
