Lovers of the Red Sky has hit a new personal best in viewership ratings, breaking past the 10 percent mark.

According to Nielsen Korea, the September 14th episode of Lovers of the Red Sky scored average nationwide ratings of 10.2%, recording its new personal best. This episode not only broke past 10 percent in ratings but also achieved the highest figure among all Monday-Tuesday dramas throughout all networks. In the sixth episode, Hong Chun Gi (played by Kim Yoo Jung) and Haram (Ahn Hyo Seop) kissed for the first time, recalling their encounters from 19 years ago. They shared their first kiss under romantic moonlight and gave a tinge of excitement.

However, when Hong Chun Gi touched Haram, the devil sealed in him was triggered. As a result, Haram pushed Hong Chun Gi away because he didn’t want to put her in danger. Hong Chun Gi recalled his sad face, unlike his cold words, and repeated to herself, “I cannot forget you, just like I can’t erase a line once drawn.”

Grand Prince Juhyang, who revealed his desire to betray the king, Haram’s wills to take revenge on the royal family, and the devil squirming by Hong Chun Gi’s presence all made viewers wonder about what will come next.

In the meantime, Hong Chun Gi will be canceled from September 20th to 21st during the Chuseok holiday.
