To be released on October 11th, KBS’ upcoming Monday-Tuesday drama The King’s Affection shared an exciting first new teaser featuring Lee Hwi (played by Park Eun Bin) and Jung Ji Woon (Rowoon).
The released video shows the fateful encounter of crown prince Lee Hwi and royal tutor Jung Ji Woon. Lee Hwi strolls around the palace with a big smile on her face in a beautiful traditional Korean dress, hanbok. One day, she transforms into an icy crown prince who has to bear the crown. However, Jung Ji Woon gets past Lee Hwi’s emotional guard with his pure heart by catching her from behind when she stumbles and nearly falls. At the moment when they bumped into each other, the two exchange glances.
With the shocking secret of her identity, her fate to be a monarch builds up the tension and romance between the two characters and makes us wonder what will happen next.
The King’s Affection is a historical romance drama about an abandoned child who was born as twins in the palace. Although she was neglected for being female, she later wears the throne disguised as the crown prince after her twin brother dies.
The Beauty Inside and Another Miss Oh’s producer Song Hyun Wook will direct the series, and Clean with Passion for Now‘s writer Han Hee Jung will pen the script.
