MBC’s new Friday-Saturday series The Red-Stained Sleeve Cuff is a record of an affectionate love story of a royal concubine who wanted to protect the life she chose and a king who put his country first over his love. It’s based on the popular novel of the same name by Kang Mi Kang. The project made headlines as the comeback project of 2PM’s Junho.

In the drama, Junho takes on the crown prince Yi San, who is given the name Jeongjo when he becomes the king. He is a picky and arrogant perfectionist who tries nonstop to become a wise king. But deep inside, the death of his father stays as a trauma.

After meeting Seong Deok Im (Lee Se Young), he slowly shows that he, too, could be a romanticist. But that was the beginning of his constant agony between his cold rationality as a king and his love for a woman.

On Thursday, The Red-Stained Sleeve Cuff released the still photos of Junho. In the photos, the actor is changing into a royal robe. His stern looks and upright stature exude the charisma of a crown prince. Showing off his subtle sexiness, Junho raises curiosity about how we will change as he falls in love with a concubine.

The production team shared, “As this is Junho’s first drama since his discharge from the military, he’s very ambitiously preparing to meet the viewers. As he is known for always trying his best, he’s doing the best he can in creating ‘Junho’s version of Yi San.’”

They continued, “You will be able to see the charm and performance of Junho, who is now in his prime. We know that you will fall in love with ‘Junho’s version of Yi San.’”

Meanwhile, The Red-Stained Sleeve Cuff will premiere in November.
