MONSTA X has swept the Billboard World Digital Song Sales Chart in 2021.
Hugh McIntyre, a columnist for Forbes, recently published an article titled “2021 Is The Biggest Year By Far For Monsta X On Billboard’s World Songs Chart.”
According to the article, MONSTA X has placed a total of 16 tracks on the top part of Billboard’s World Songs Chart, including GAMBLER, Nobody Else, Addicted, KISS OR DEATH, and Night View.
“Nobody has performed better on the ranking in 2021 than Monsta X, who has made this year a breakout one for themselves in America,” wrote McIntyre. “The South Korean six-member vocal act has placed an incredible 16 different tracks onto the World Digital Song Sales chart throughout 2021. That sum is nearly half of all the tunes from the act that have ever reached the ranking at any point in their years together, and 2021 is far and away the biggest and best yet for the outfit.”
He added, “Monsta X’s most successful year yet when looking at the World Digital Song Sales chart was 2017, when they pushed five tracks to the tally. They first reached the list in 2015, and they typically send around three tunes to the roster. This year’s total is already five times that figure.”
Last year, MONSTA X showed remarkable performance on seven Billboard charts, including Billboard 200, with their first U.S. full album ALL ABOUT LUV. The group continued to be on a roll this year with the members’ self-composed songs. Especially, I.M’s first solo album DUALITY swept 20% of the World Songs Chart. It also topped iTunes Worldwide Album Chart for two days and ranked in TOP10 of Amazon’s Best Sellers: Best Digital Music.
High-flying MONSTA X will continue to communicate with their fans in various fields, including radio, variety shows, and their self-produced content “MON CHANNEL.”
