tvN’s new weekend series Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha is a healing romance drama between ‘realist’ dentist Yoon Hye Jin and an unemployed man Hong Du Sik who goes by ‘Chief Hong’ in his town. The meeting of Shin Min Ah and Kim Seon Ho has already been at the center of attention.
Shin Min Ah will play an elite dentist Yoon Hye Jin. She seems like she grew up like a princess without any kind of trouble. But in fact, she had to live off scholarships and part-time jobs in her school days. She values money and success above all else but still be adorable.
The released photos perfectly capture Yoon Hye Jin, who is bold and sweet yet clumsy at times. In the city, she is a professional dentist. But when she reaches a small seashore village, she looks out of place and awkward even in doing the smallest things.
Plus, Kim Seon Ho turns into Hong Doo Shik, who goes by Chief Hong among the townspeople. He shows up whenever someone is in need of help. From the dazzling looks to his warm personality, he has it all. Though he is currently unemployed, his work never ends for some reason.
And the released photos showcase the charismatic yet lovely charm of Hong Doo Shik. Carrying a bag on one shoulder, the subtle charisma that he exudes catches the eye. However, his friendly expression while making eye contact with an old lady proves what a good and kind person he is.
The production team piled on the expectations as they shared that the two actors have completely disappeared into their roles. Saying that viewers will get to see the whole new side of Shin and Kim, they asked for lots of interest for the upcoming series.
Meanwhile, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha will premiere on August 28th at 9 PM KST.
