Ji Chang Wook has tested positive for COVID-19. As a result, Netflix original series The Sound of Magic will halt its production for the time being.

On Monday, an official from Netflix shared that Ji Chang Wook and a staff member working on The Sound of Magic were confirmed with COVID-19. “According to the guidelines of the health authorities, we will stop filming for everyone’s safety,” he added.

The filming will resume once everyone’s safety is secured.

Meanwhile, The Sound of Magic is about Yoon Ai, who became an adult before she wanted to, and Lee Eul, the mysterious magician who wants to stay as a child in an adult’s body. It’s based on the popular webtoon “Annarasumanara” by Ha Ilkwon.

For the project, Ji Chang Wook plays Lee Eul, a mysterious magician who lives in an abandoned amusement park. He will be working with Choi Sung Eun and Hwang In Yeop.

  • I hope they both recover fully without developing long Covid syndrome. Netflix is wise to suspend filming until everyone’s safety is secured. And I hope *every* person involved in producing this drama will be more diligent and scrupulous in their efforts to avoid becoming infected.
