[Weekly TV Top 10] ‘The Penthouse 3’ vs. ‘Hospital Playlist 2’: A Showdown Between Seasonal Series

Drama Ranking for the 2nd Week of June

SBS’s The Penthouse 3: War in Life retained the crown for the third week, but the popularity continues to see a steady decline. Many showed dissatisfaction with the third season, but episode 3 successfully turned the public opinion into positive reactions. tvN’s Hospital Playlist 2 saw a solid start, ranking 2nd. Yoo Yeon Seok and Shin Hyun Bin’s date and Jeon Mi Do declining Jo Jung Suk’s advances became hot topics. Another tvN series, My Roommate is a Gumiho, landed at No. 3. Kang Hanna’s performance drew favorable reviews, but Jang Ki Yong and Hyeri’s acting weren’t so welcomed. KBS’s new series At a Distance, Spring Is Green started off at 4th place. Park Ji Hoon’s appearance received a lot of attention from his fans. However, many showed regret over actors’ lack of popularity while saying that the content is more suitable for a web series. Moreover, JTBC’s new drama Nevertheless came in sixth. Song Kang and Han So Hee’s good looks made headlines even before the premiere, but negative opinion was formed around Song Kang’s poor acting.
