Hard Hit topped at the box office for two consecutive days beating over two Hollywood competitors such as Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard and A Quiet Place Part II.

Hard Hit set a new opening record among Korean films released in 2021. According to the Korean Film Council, it attracted 55,630 movie-goers on the first day of its release on Wednesday, June 23rd. The figure is well over the marks of Gong Yoo & Park Bo Gum’s Seobok (45,153), Seol Kyung Gu & Byun Yo Han’s The Book of Fish (34,877), and Kim Young Kwang’s Mission: Possible (26,010), making it the most popular Korean film released this year.

Hard Hit is expected to have a bigger hit at the box office because it is on everyone’s lips, and it will be hosting stage greetings with Cho Woo Jin, Ji Chang Wook, and Kim Chang Joo over the weekend.

Meanwhile, Hard Hit is a thriller that follows the normal routine of a bank manager Sung Kyu. When he receives a phone call from an unknown caller, saying, “If you get out of your car, a bomb will go off,” everything falls into pieces.
