Red Velvet’s Joy is coming back to the small screen.
According to SM Entertainment, on the 11th, Joy will play Sung Mi Do in JTBC’s Only One Person. The series tells the story of a terminally ill woman and a bottom feeder man. And as they become entangled in a murder case, they slowly become the one and only ones for each other.
Sung Mi Do, Joy’s role, is an SNS influencer who learns that she is terminally ill at the peak of her life. From when she was a child, she’s been good at presenting herself as a mysterious person. And she is someone who values what other people think the most. As she faces a murder case ahead of her death, she will be spending the most dramatic days in her life.
Previously, Joy made her debut as an actress with tvN The Liar and His Lover in 2017. Then, she made an appearance in MBC Tempted with her stable acting skills.
Meanwhile, Joy has received positive responses with her solo album Hello on the 31st, topping the music charts and the iTunes Top Album Chart in 26 regions worldwide.
Only One Person will premiere in December.
