BTS’s RM unveiled his new solo song.

As part of the ongoing 2021 BTS Festa—the group’s yearly celebration of the anniversary of their debut—RM released his new song “Bicycle” on June 7th. The rapper personally composed and arranged the song alongside John Eun.

“I’d always wanted to write a song about bicycles,” RM wrote. “It’s already been three years since I released mono. I got a little tired from preparing for the next series without any promises, so I decided to make a song about a bicycle using Festa as my excuse. I completed this song by adding melodies and lyrics to Hee Young’s guitar as we traveled here and there on a bicycle in February and March.”

“My heart always flutters when I ride a bicycle, but whenever I place my two feet on the pedals, I also always feel a bit sad,” he continued. “I’ve been riding a bicycle since I was a trainee, and I wanted to transfer that hazy scenery into a song.”

RM finished by saying, “I hope this song will remain on your playlist for a long time and become your bicycle song. And I will be more than happy if you listen and think of it as a small gift.”
