According to an official in the film industry on the 20th, Yoo Ah In has recently been offered to star in Jeon, Ran, produced by Park Chan Wook. If things go well, the first collaboration between the two will come true.
Jeon, Ran is a martial arts and historical action movie set in the Imjin War, the Japanese invasion of Korea in 1592. Kim Sang Man of Midnight FM will direct the movie, and Park Chan Wook will be the producer.
Yoo Ah In has proven his acting skills in various historical series, including the show Sungkyunkwan Scandal (2010), Jang Ok Jung, Living by Love (2013), and the movie The Throne (2014). And Park Chan Wook participated in creating Crush And Blush (2008) and Snowpiercer (2013) as a producer.
Meanwhile, Park Chan Wook’s Moho Film will produce Jeon, Ran with Semi-Colon Studios. It is working on recruiting the cast members at the moment.
