Shooting a pictorial for the May issue of Cosmopolitan, Park Joo Hyun shared the behind-the-scenes of tvN’s Mouse.
For the question about the set, she said, “Everyone was very friendly and nice, but it lasts only 10 minutes after we arrive on set.” “After having a small talk, soon everyone gets very busy worrying about their scenes,” she said with a hearty laugh. “Seung Gi keeps singing on the set, and Hee Joon always has his earphones on and reads the script. He takes it out right before he goes in front of the cameras,” she gave a sneak peek of the behind-the-scenes of the set.
She also shared what made her join the series. She said, “The director had the idea that Jung Ba Reum, Go Mu Chi, and Oh Bong Yi should keep the equal tension. While he thinks that Oh Bong Yi had to look young and strong at the same time, he watched the film I starred in, Extracurricular.”
Regarding Oh Bong Yi’s character, a survivor of child sexual abuse, she said, “I was cautious because her case was quite similar to the real story. I would like Bong Yi to be a character that overcomes the struggle, but from the perspective of the real survivor, there is a chance that she might feel, ‘It cannot be that easy.’” And she explained that she had a lot of time to think about the issue.
Meanwhile, Park Joo Hyun won the TV Rookie of the Year award at the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards this year.
