Youth of May unveiled the first trailer that shows the affectionate romance between Lee Do Hyun and Go Min Si.
KBS’s new Monday-Tuesday drama Youth of May is an old-fashioned melodrama that unfolds the love story of Hee Tae (Lee Do Hyun) and Myung Hee (Go Min Si). The two fall in love like a fate amid the historical chaos during May of 1980.
The trailer released starts with the excitement of falling madly in love. However, it ends with the tearful conflicts between the two lovers, signaling the heartfelt love story of two youths.
Especially, Lee Do Hyun’s sweet confession said in a calm tone makes viewers’ hearts flutter: “In fact, this is not the first time I saw you. You are special. I wanted to show you again, but I never expected to see you here. We seem to be in sync, no?” Go Min So also subtly expresses the love of a woman, raising expectations for the youth romance that the two will portray.
However, the romance turned into a tragedy by the end of the clip. Lee Do Hyun tries to hold onto her, saying, “Tell me how you feel, Myung Hee. And I will make everything simple.” On the other hand, Myung Hee pushes him away as she tells him, “We need to stop here. Let’s remain as good memories for each other.”
Meanwhile, Youth of May will premiere on May 3rd at 9:30 PM KST.
