Rosé Continues to Make History with Over 500k Album Sales and as Tiffany&Co.’s New Global Ambassador

BLACKPINK’s Rosé has surpassed 500,000 sales for her solo album, according to Hanteo Charts.

According to YG Entertainment, on the 21st, the accumulated sales for Rose’s first solo single album R have reached 502,447. This includes the CD, LP, and KiT versions of the album. After 19 years of Korean music history, Rosé has risen as the new female solo artist to have reached ‘half million-seller.’

The artist’s solo album, R, was expected to be a great hit since its pre-order sales reached 500k sales. It was historic as she reached 440k sales of physical albums as a female solo singer. The title track “On The Ground” also excelled as it reached the top of multiple charts, including iTunes’ Top Song Charts in 51 different regions. She also made two Guinness Records with “On The Ground” as the Korean solo artist with most YouTube views within 24 hours of release and singer to have both solo and group songs top billboard’s global chart.

On top of this, Rosé has also become Tiffany&Co. ‘s new global ambassador. On the 21st, the brand revealed the singer as its ambassador and explained that Rosé’s individuality and modern sense of style match the goal of their collection. Rosé will kick off as a digital campaign muse for Tiffany&Co. ‘s 2021 hardware collection.

With the release of her photoshoots with Tiffany&Co., Rosé stated, “It’s very meaningful to be a part of Tiffany&Co., an iconic brand that was with me all my life. I’m excited and honored to be able to join the hardware campaign as a global ambassador.”
