Song Kang and Han So Hee joined the drama Nevertheless (literal title), with perfect chemistry.
JTBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama Nevertheless will premiere in June as a follow-up of Undercover. The drama depicts a hyperrealistic romance between Yoo Na Bi, a woman who doesn’t believe in love, and Park Jae Eon, a man who wants to have fun though he doesn’t want to be in a relationship. The sweet, sexy yet toxic love story of youths will deliver a heart-fluttering romance to the viewers.
Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency and Devilish Joy director Kim Ga Ram and screenwriter Jung Won have come together for the project.
Nevertheless is based on the webtoon of the same name. As soon as the drama adaptation news hit the wire, fans paid keen attention to the casting.
Song Kang plays Park Jae Eon, an homme fatale who wants to flirt though committing to a relationship is somewhat annoying. He is friendly to everyone and always delightful. But deep inside, Jae Eon is indifferent towards others and enjoys his status: single. He draws a clear line and doesn’t show his true feelings. But after meeting Na Bi, he wants to cross that line for the first time.
Song Kang shared, “I’m excited and nervous to join Nevertheless. I will do my best to show a different side of me through Park Jae Eon.”
Han So Hee will play the role of Yoo Na Bi. She is a non-believer in love but still wishes to go on a date. Na Bi promised herself never to believe in fate or be swayed by love again when her first love ended painfully and futilely. But Park Jae Eon, the only man who bothers the easygoing and plain Na Bi, brings about an aberration in her life.
Han So Hee expressed her excitement, saying, “I’m so happy to play the character of my favorite webtoon. I’m nervous and feel a bit pressured. But I’m looking forward to the first shoot because I can be with great people. I hope you show us your love.”
