Ready for Beakhyun and Doyoung’s Duet? “Rewind: Blossom” Project Is a Hot Topic

EXO’s Baekhyun and NCT’s Doyoung’s duet excited K-Pop Fans.

On March 10, Stone Music Entertainment released a music video teaser for “Doll” sung by EXO’s Baekhyun and NCT’s Doyoung on its YouTube channel. It immediately drew large attention.

Kangta wrote and composed “Doll” in 2001. At the time, Lee Ji Hoon and Shin Hye Sung sang the song as a duet. Later on, Kangta, Red Velvet’s Wendy, and Seulgi sang the song together on SBS’s Fantastic Duo 2 with a great appreciation.

“Rewind: Blossom” project, hosted by Stone Music Entertainment, KT, and Genie Music made Beakhyun and Doyoung’s duet happen. The project will allow the current K-pop musicians to reinterpret some of the masterpieces that were released between the 1990s and the early 2000s. A total of 8 songs will be released over two days, March 12 and March 26.

Besides “Dolls,” Roo’Ra – “3!4!,” Lee Won Jin – “For Couples Who Just Met,” Lee Seung Hoon – “Rainy Street,” Park Ji Yoon – “Phantom,” Yoon Sang – “One More Step,” THETHE – “It’s You,” and Lee Yerin – “Come on baby tonight” have been chosen.

The lineup of the artists is fascinating. Many talented musicians from various genres, including EXO’s Baekhyun, NCT’s Doyoung, IZ*ONE, Urban Zakapa, Sandeul, Davichi’s Kang Min Kyung, Ha Sung Woon, Wonstein, Moonchi Park, and Yoo Seung Woo, will be remaking the songs in their own styles.
