Minari won the Foreign-Language category at the 78th Golden Globe Award.
Minari lifted the foreign language film trophy at the 78th Golden Globe Awards held at the Beverly Hills Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles on the 28th (local time).
With such a feat, attention now focuses on whether Minari will follow the path of Parasite, which took home four Academy trophies after winning “Best Picture – Foreign Language” at the Golden Globes last year.
Lee Isaac Chung’s Minari follows a Korean-American family that moves to a tiny Arkansas farm in search of their own American Dream. Steven Yeun, Han Ye Ri, Alan Kim, Noel Kate Cho, Youn Yuh Jung, and Will Patton starred in the film.
For the trophy, Minari competed with Another Round (Denmark), The Life Ahead (Italy), Two of Us (France/USA), and La Llorona (Guatemala/France).
