Eugene’s revenge has begun, with her return in The Penthouse 2: War in Life.
In the third episode of SBS’s drama, The Penthouse 2 which aired on the 26th, Oh Yoon Hee (Eugene) has returned to Hera Palace, holding a fatal weakness of Chun Seo Jin (Kim So Yeon) in her hands. She was seen to officially begin her revenge.
Oh Yoon Hee, who married Ha Yoon Cheol (Yoon Jong Hoon) and returned to Hera Palace, also returned to Hera Club and sneaked her way into Chun Seo Jin’s 20th Anniversary special stage as a shadow singer. As she revealed her identity to Chun Seo Jin at the end of the performance, she said, “I only took back things that were taken away from me from you. You do remember, don’t you? Both Ha Yoon Cheol and the best voice were always mine.”
She then headed to her enemy’s autograph session to show Park Young Ran (Bada) a copy of the secret memorandum. Oh Yoon Hee also asked Chun Seo Jin to re-sing the song she sang as a shadow singer in front of fans and reporters, driving her into a corner.
However, this was only the beginning. She has come back to Hera Palace with a fully planned revenge. Unstable with the continued threats, Chun Seo Jin drove as if to kill Oh Yoon Hee, but the latter only made her even angrier with a strong gaze. “Why are you so scared, Chun Seo Jin? It’s not like you. Don’t be nervous. I haven’t started anything yet,” she said.
The returned character also told Chun Seo Jin that she wants her to retire. “Get off the position where you faked your way up. Cancel all the planned performances and hold a press conference to confess that you can’t sing anymore. Then I’ll keep it a secret that I was your shadow singer.”
Eugene has been depicting Oh Yoon Hee as a multi-dimensional character so far, flexibly moving with the speedy plot development of The Penthouse 2. With her run for revenge, attention is focused on what else Oh Yoon Hee has for her revenge. SBS’s The Penthouse 2: War in Life airs every Friday and Saturday at 10 p.m. KST.
