Netflix will serve JTBC’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama Sisyphus: The Myth around the world from Feb 17.
JTBC’s 10th-anniversary special drama Sisyphus: The Myth (hereinafter referred to as Sisyphus), set to premiere on Feb 17, will greet viewers around the world through Netflix. It will be released in Asia, Engish-speaking countries, and Arab regions on Feb 17 at 10:30 pm KST, while other regions will follow the according schedules after the drama ends.
Sisyphus is a fantasy-mystery drama about a genius engineer who is trying to discover the hidden secrets about the creatures that live within our world and his savior from the future. In Greek mythology, Sisyphus was the king of Ephyra who was punished for his self-aggrandizing craftiness and deceitfulness by being forced to roll an immense boulder up a hill only for it to roll down every time it neared the top. Naturally, attention focuses on how the main characters’ endless and fierce journey like the Sisyphus will come to an end.
Cho Seung Woo plays Han Tae Sool, a genius engineer and the co-founder of Quantum and Time Company. He is a one-of-a-kind genius and called the nation’s hero, but in reality, he is actually a selfish person who has no attachment to anything. One day, he learns an unbelievable truth and is threatened by someone in the future. Park Shin Hye plays Kang Seo Hae, a one-of-a-kind warrior. She can take down a man twice her size with her bare hands, is a sharpshooter, and can make bombs. Expectations for the two actors’ performances and splendid action are already making prospective viewers’ hearts pound.
Sisyphus is the new project by director Jin Hyuk, who is writing an unbeatable history with works like The Legend of the Blue Sea, Doctor Stranger, and The Master’s Sun. Lee Jae In and Jun Chan Ho couple will pen the script to unfold the compelling story of Han Tae Sool and Kang Seo Hae, who are on a mission to save.
