KBS 2TV’s new Mon-Tues drama River Where the Moon Rises (written by Han Ji Hoon, directed by Yoon Sang Ho) made a surprise release its first OST at 6 p.m. KST on the 15th, ahead of its first episode.

River Where the Moon Rises is a historical romance that illustrates the sad yet beautiful love story of Princess Pyong Gang (played by Kim So Hyun) and General Ondal (played by Ji Soo) as they fight against their fate.

Amidst such plot, Zia has been unveiled as the first runner for the series’ OST singer. The artist has been loved for her sentimental expressions in her deep tone. As a top-tier singer, it is expected that she will heighten the emotions within the drama as its first soundtrack.

Zia’s OST “To be something of someone” (literal title) is a song with an impressive chorus, with a combination of colorful orchestrations and Zia’s falsettos. Sentimental lyrics containing the heart of Pyong Gang’s feelings toward Ondal were added to the song, perfecting its story.

Furthermore, the song is a collaboration between composer Kim Se Jin, the OST hitmaker, and lyricist Good Choice, and Choi Gab Won. The birth of a legendary OST is expected as viewers of River Where the Moon Rises await the episode.
