In KBS’s new Friday drama Dear.M, Park plays Ma Joo Ah, a sophomore in business major who has never dated a boy in her life. She described her character as someone who is “bright and energetic.” She added, “If she’s next to you, your ear would never hear the end of it. She’s the kind of friend who will reassure you.”
The first moment she met her character on a paper, she said that she could hear Ma Joo Ah’s nonstop chatter in her ears. She gave shape to her role through her close friend Cha Min Ho’s perspective and fully understood her at some point.
Park also lavished praise on her co-star NCT’s Jaehyun, showing off their chemistry. “In terms of positive energy, we will score 100. He was always bright and energetic, even though it must have been hard to digest both acting and group (NCT) schedules. Thanks to that, I also gained a lot of great energy,” she shared.
Lastly, the actress added, “Every character has his or her own concerns about love and future. It will be the future that teenagers will imagine and be curious about, the exciting and sympathizing situations for those in their early 20s, and for those who have already passed these moments, it will be a time to recall the precious memories.”
Meanwhile, Dear.M will premiere on Feb 26 at 11:10 pm KST.
