Lee Soo Man on ‘Monthly Connect’ Revealing His Vision for the Globalization of K-Pop

The chief producer of SM Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as SM) will be appearing on tvN’s Monthly Connect, which is to be aired on the 1st of February.

tvN’s Monthly Connect is an educational program in which four experts from each field select an individual of issue and topic of the month, and invite the individual for an online interview. Planned to be held each month, the show started last month in January as they drew attention by interviewing one of three biggest investors of the world Jim Rogers, and the writer of Justice: What’s The Right Thing to Do? Michael Sandel.

In its second episode planned to air at 7.40 p.m. KST on Feb 1st, Monthly Connect plans to hold online interviews with SM’s executive producer and the leader of the global Hallyu wave Lee Soo Man, and Zoom’s international business director Abe Smith. Both were selected as people of the month.

Lee Soo Man talks in-depth about K-Pop, as the first Korean to be selected as the ‘Variety 500′ for 4 consecutive years now. As an influential leader of K-Pop’s globalization, he will be revealing a variety of insights he experienced and realized as a pioneer and representative of K-Pop. He is expected to draw lots of attention as he talks about the perspective of K-Pop in midst of the pandemic.

The executive producer was the first Korean to be selected and announced as the ‘Variety 500′ for four consecutive years. He was also the first Korean to win the ‘2016 Asian Game Changer Awards’ at the Asian Society Awards Ceremony. With many more awards and records, Lee Soo Man have been consistently proving his global influence and presence.
