Wheesung on Trial for Illegal Use of Propofol + Singer Admits His Crime in the First Trial

It has been revealed that Wheesung is on trial for habitual use of propofol.

According to the Daegu District Prosecutors’ Office, Wheesung was tried for the first time on charges of violating the law on drug management at the Andong Branch of the Daegu District Court on the 19th.

Wheesung is suspected of taking propofol several times in December 2019. The Gyeongbuk Police suspected Wheesung of purchasing propofol in April last year and sent the case to the prosecution. The singer is known to have admitted all charges with his acquaintance A at the time. Wheesung’s sentence is scheduled for March 9.

Wheesung has been accused of taking propofol several times. In 2013, he was questioned by prosecutors on charges of taking propofol while serving in the military, and at the time, Wheesung was accused of habitually administering propofol at various places, including dermatology in Gangnam, Seoul, from 2011 to early 2013.

In April last year, he was found collapsed after taking drugs twice. At the time, he was reported to have ingested etomidate, a sleep-inducing anesthetic, but was not charged with criminal charges because it wasn’t classified as an illegal drug.
