His agency Starship Entertainment reported Starnews Korea on the 20th, “I.M is preparing a solo song to have it released at the end of February.”

I.M previously heightened the attention at the 35th Golden Disc Awards on the 9th as he announced the release of a solo song for the first half of the year. I.M is currently reported to be putting effort as he participates even in the smallest details of his music work before its official release.

As a rapper of MONSTA X, I.M has been writing lines for all the rap parts in the songs, and has been recognized for his musical abilities by releasing multiple self-written songs in the group’s album such as “MOHAE”, “CHAMPAGNE,”, “UR”, “ZONE”, and “Night View.”

He also revealed his capabilities, starting with his solo mixtape “WHO AM I” in May of 2016, through to “BeMyFriend” with Jooheon, and the collaboration with ELHAE: “HORIZON” and “Fly with me.”

With his fluent English skills, he has played a pivotal role in MONSTA X’s overseas promotional activities and their popularity out of the country. Hence, anticipations are made on how I.M will win the hearts of his fans this time especially as a solo artist out of his group.
