Will Lee Si Young star in the Korean remake of the popular American TV series The Mentalist?
The actress’s agency Ace Factory confirmed that Lee Si Young was offered the role of a female lead in the Korean remake of The Mentalist and is positively reviewing it.
The Mentalist ran from Sept 23, 2008, until Feb 18, 2015, broadcasting 151 episodes over seven seasons on CBS. The show has garnered many fans even in Korea with the actors’ excellent performance and captivating storytelling. Earlier, Park Si Hoo was in talks to star in the drama as the male lead.
Attention is focused on whether Lee Si Young, who proved herself to be the “action queen” with Netflix’s Sweet Home, will choose the remake of The Mentalist as her next move.
Meanwhile, this new drama will be helmed by Ho Goo’s Love and The Producers director Pyo Min Soo.
