Netflix has revealed the main poster of Korea’s first space science-fiction blockbuster, Space Sweepers (also known as Victory), to more than 190 countries.
Netflix’s Movie Space Sweepers tells the story of the crew of ‘Victory,’ a cleaning spaceship that cleans trash from space in 2092. Watch them jump into a risky journey after finding Dorothy, a humanoid robot known to be a weapon of mass destruction. Expectations are being raised as the main posters with the movie’s characters have been revealed.
The released poster shows a dignified appearance of the spaceship’s crew, who seem bold and energetic. Space Sweepers is the first Korean film to challenge the genre of space science fiction, as it launches a Korean character into space with one of the world’s top creativity and film technology.
The crew members of the Victory spaceship Tae Ho, Captain Jang, Tiger Park, and Up Dong are characters who leave a demolished Earth and barely continue their days by cleaning up space debris. As they worry about money on a daily basis, the humanoid robot “Dorothy,” a known WMD, rolls into them just in time.
While the whole universe is eager to find Dorothy, the crew members of Victory set foot in a risky deal to exchange it for large amounts of money. Unlike the stereotypical superheroes of Hollywood who have traveled through space, this crew is somewhat familiar and relatable. This would be thanks to Director Cho Sung Hee who have added such relatable and sympathize-able details in their appearances.
Space Sweepers (also known as Victory) is set to illustrate the energy of the Korean space cleaners traveling through space and greet viewers from more than 190 countries around the world through Netflix on February 5th.
