The agency of MOMOLAND’s Nancy has announced its official position on the distribution of photos taken illegally. MLD Entertainment said in an official press release on January 11th, “There had been illegally edited photos of Nancy circulating on social media recently. Nancy has become a victim of illegal filming and editing.”
The agency plans to take strong and immediate legal actions. “We will take strict legal actions against the one who took the photo illegally, and the initial distributors in cooperation with the police and overseas law enforcement services,” it announced. It added, “Through legal representatives, we will also proceed with criminal penalties for violating the Special Act on the Sexual Violence Crimes.
MLD Entertainment emphasized, “Nancy is suffering from huge emotional distress. We hope that no one violates the artists with malicious postings anymore.”
Recently, illegally taken photos of Nancy’s waiting room at the 2019 Asia Artist Awards (AAA) Ceremony held in Vietnam were circulated online. Nancy appeared at the ceremony as an MC back in September of 2019.
