Bossam �” Stealing Fate (literal title) has been programmed as MBN’s new spring drama. And along with the news, the production team dropped sad and affectionate photos of the two actors, Jung Il Woo and Kwon Yuri, raising much expectations.
Bossam �” Stealing Fate, set during the Joseon Dynasty under the reign of King Gwanghae, is a fusion historical drama about a person who accidentally kidnaps a princess.
Jung Il Woo, who showed his best performances in historical dramas such as Moon Embracing the Sun, Night Watchman’s Journal and Haechi, plays Ba Woo, a low-level gangster who holds a secret behind his birth. He grew up to be an expert in gambling, stealing, fighting, and kidnapping.
Kwon Yuri will challenge her first-ever historical genre as princess Hwain. She is the daughter of King Gwanghae and the daughter-in-law of Yi Eui Chum, the old enemy of King Gwanghae. She marries the brother of the person who she has feelings for as a political strategy, but ends up becoming a widow on the first night.
The production team shared, “The drama will provide different kinds of charms by adding Korean sentiment and sensitivity to the unique materials.”
Meanwhile, Bossam �” Stealing Fate will premiere in the first half of this year.
