The band made a video appearance on ABC’s special, Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve on December 31st.

BTS revealed, ”2020 has been a tough year for many, but it has also given achievements that we are forever grateful for, all thanks to your love and support. We love you and we wish you a happy new year.”

As a special broadcast that airs every year from the night of December 31st to the morning of January 1st, Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve had previously aired BTS’ performance at the New York Times Square, a year ago.

Though the group could not be on stage this year due to the COVID-19 situation, members greeted fans around the world through a video message.

BTS’s leader, RM, also sent his year-end greetings to his fans. He said, “This year just laughed at everyone’s expectations. The normal things have become so dreamy now. I am going to use it as a lesson for not cherishing precious things as they should be. Thank you for joining us on this tiring journey. Let’s walk together toward a brighter spring-day. I hope we can be of help.”
