Naver Webtoon True Beauty will be produced as a game, following its drama production.
Line Studio, a casual-game developer of LINE, announced on the 23rd that they will produce a mobile game in partnership with Naver Webtoon which will be providing intellectual property (IP).
True Beauty has taken the unmatched place of the 1st amongst female readers since its start in 2018. It garnered 4 billion views globally as it gained high popularity in the U.S., Japan, France, South East Asia, and Spanish speaking countries.
Line Studio plans to develop the game’s stories based on the original story of True Beauty. It is expected to provide a fuller and newer experience not only to the fans of the original work but also to other users, by combining the elements of a webtoon with the elements of a game.
This is the first collaboration between Line Studio, a professional casual-game developer, and Naver Webtoon’s IP.
MeanwhileTrue Beauty, the drama series, is airing every Wednesday and Thursday on tvN as it enjoys its popularity.
