IU had donated to children from low-income families for this Christmas.
According to News1 on the 24th, IU has donated a whopping 100 million Won (approximately 91k USD) to ChildFund Korea.
ChildFund Korea reported of IU’s 100 million Won donation, as they said, “the donation will be used to support the livelihood of students from low-income families, to pay for their university tuition.”
IU is known to be one of the stars who consistently make donations. She also donated 100 million Won to the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association back in August to support flood victims and areas affected by heavy rains. In September, she further donated 100 million Won to the Snail of Love Foundation and the Korean Unwed Mothers Families Association with her fans to celebrate the 12th anniversary of her debut.
As such, IU is a model for many as she exerts positive influence through regular donations.
