In The Spies Who Loved Me, Yoo In Na took on the role of Kang Ah Reum, a wedding dress designer who is just natural at being a spy, and digest both action sequences and romance. Her piercing eyes and agile body movements optimized for the action genre caught the eye, and in the ending scene, her unique romance performance sparkled.

Q1. How do you feel now that the drama came to an end?
I can’t believe it’s already over. It’s been a challenging time for all of us, so we had difficulties choosing the time and the place, but thanks to the director, the writer, and our staff, we finished the filming safely. I will miss all of them a lot.
Q2. Which part of the drama attracted you the most?
The fact that romance, action, thrill and comedy were all combined together came fresh to me. The story unfolded after the ex-husband, current husband and Ah Reum – the three that cannot be mixed well like water and oil – met was impressive, and the three’s history was also attractive. As a viewer myself, I also waited for the script with a curious mind about what will happen next.
Q3. Ah Reum led the play with her ex-husband and current husband on her sides.
With Jun Ji Hoon (Eric), I tried to act as if I was with a long-time friend or lover, while with Derek Hyun (Lim Ju Hwan), I tried to be more gentle and respectful. I thought that (Ah Reum) will be more careful with Derek Hyun because he is the second love that walked into her life after divorcing Jun Ji Hoon. But it was easier for me to act the first love that she rushed in without giving a second thought.
Q4. Anything special you prepared for the project?
To play a wedding dress designer, I met with the actual wedding dress designer and asked for advice, and whenever I had time at home, I would cut the fabric and practice sewing. Also, since Ah Reum is a person who is just natural at being a spy, I practiced shooting and action. At that time, I felt a lot of pressure to do well, but now that I think about it, it became a very new and pleasant memory.
Q5. What do you think is Kang Ah Reum’s charm?
I think the fact that she lives an independent life is her biggest charm. Whenever Ah Reum faces a problem, she doesn’t run away. She thinks about how to solve it and puts her thoughts into action. Even as I was acting her, I often felt that she looked awesome.
