On December 15th, Grammy Museum uploaded GFRIEND’s mini masterclass interview on their YouTube channel. Mini masterclass is an interview series targeted at those who aspire to be a musician, as it discusses music with those who are in the industry. GFRIEND is the first K-pop girl group to be invited for the mini masterclass.

When asked what qualities are needed to succeed in the music industry, Sowon answered that “the most important are skills, and never to be complacent with the present and to improve.” Umji emphasized, “a uniqueness that makes you different from others.”

For the question that asked for perks of their job, Yerin answered, “the fact that we can showcase diverse concepts to our fans.” Eunha talked about their teamwork and friendship as she mentioned how reliable and family-like her fellow members are.

GFRIEND also gave specific advice to those who are studying music. Yuju emphasized the importance of understanding one’s own strengths and not being too harsh to yourself.

The group also mentioned their plans for a new project. Yerin said, “it’d be nice to have an opportunity to create an album with individual songs for each member.”
