The Penthouse: War in Life has already started its journey for season 2.
According to SPOTVNEWS, SBS’s Monday-Tuesday drama The Penthouse: War in Life finished filming season 1 on Dec 12.
The drama was originally scheduled to film its last scene on Nov 25. But when a supporting actor was tested positive for COVID-19, all production came to a stop. Soon, Uhm Ki Joon and Park Eun Seok, who overlapped movements with the confirmed patient, got tested for the virus and received negative results, but underwent self-isolation as a preemptive measure.
After watching the situation for about two weeks, the production team finished filming season 1 on Saturday. Then on Sunday, they announced the start of season 2 with a table read. Only major actors in season 2 attended the table read to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Season 2 will start filming within this week. Unlike season 1, season 2 and 3 will be programmed as Friday-Saturday drama.
At the “2021 SBS Showcase,” Han Jung Hwan, CEO of Studio S, said, “Writer Kim Soon Ok still has much to say. Both seasons (2 and 3) will air in the first half of next year. Even more shocking events will be unfolded. They go far beyond character reuniting with a mold under their eyes (reference to Temptation of Wife).”
