BTS made history in pop music history when they were nominated for Grammy, the most prestigious music award ceremony in the US. When the Recording Academy announced the nominees for the 63rd Grammy on Nov 24 (local time), BTS was nominated for the “Best Pop Duo/ Group Performance” category with “Dynamite,” which was released on Aug 21. With this, BTS became the first K-pop artist/group to be named on the Grammy list. BTS showed their desire to win the award, saying, “It feels like our hard work has finally been paid off.”

 

#Dramas Halt Their Filming in the Aftermath of COVID-19

After supporting actors were tested positive for COVID-19, more than 10 dramas, including KBS’s River Where the Moon Rises, MBN’s Bossam – Stealing Fate, JTBC’s Snowdrop and Sisyphus: The Myth, SBS’s Joseon Exorcist and The Penthouse: War in Life, tvN’s Mr. Queen, MBC’s The Spies Who Loved Me and Kakao TV’s Lovestruck in the City, have halted their filming. Since then, actors and staff were all tested for the virus, and thankfully, most of them received negative results. Since then, some of them resumed their schedules, but the drama industry is on alert with the re-surge of COVID-19 confirmed cases. 

 

#Song Kang Ho & Kim Min Hee Named as NYT’s “The 25 Greatest Actors of the 21st Century”

Song Kang Ho and Kim Min Hee have been named on the list of NYT’s “The 25 Greatest Actors of the 21st Century,” along with other A-list stars. NYT introduced Kim Min Hee’s performances in director Hong Sang Soo’s Right Now, Wrong Then and director Park Chan Wook’s The Handmaiden. For Song Kang Ho, NYT cited the introduction written by Parasite director Bong Joon Ho, who worked with Song in 4 different films. Bong Joon Ho praised the actor, saying, “He has the ability to bring life and rawness to every moment. Even if a scene involves difficult dialogue or highly technical camerawork, he will find a way to make it seamless and spontaneous.”

 

#Eli and Ji Yeon Soo Getting a Divorce After 6 Years of Marriage

Former U-Kiss member Eli and his wife Ji Yeon Soo are putting an end to their 6 years of marriage. On Nov 26, Eli personally announced the news through his Instagram. Bak on Jun 11, 2014, Eli and Ji Yeon Soo announced their marriage despite the age difference, making headlines. The two held their wedding ceremony and their son’s first birthday at the same time in June 2017.
